Karen's journey with camera in hand is interwoven with her faith, charity and advocacy. She is the photographer and artist behind GLP. A born storyteller, her creative endeavors have run the gamut, with a background in theatre and film, poetry and art. Her discovery and expression from behind the lens began at age eleven, when she joined the local 4-H Photography Club, and documented the day to day details of her younger brother. It was then she fell in love with the art of telling a story with an image.
It's been said that Karen is imaginative, thoughtful, a bit of a castles-in-the-air dreamer, and quirky. Her style is whimsical, yet organic. Empathic, compassionate and understanding, she has the ability to put people at ease in front of the camera. Married to Michael with three kids, living in Hendersonville, NC, she is an old soul and a deep thinker, who laughs loud and loves hard, on a mission to glorify His name through the way she lives her life.
An advocate for autism, especially in the form of Aspergers Syndrome, Karen carries the torch for her family, sharing their unique tale through lovely and honest photography. Likewise, she is honored for the opportunity to create art with others through the looking glass of the lens.
